Excavating the Tomb of Harwa at Thebes Faculty and graduate students of the Institute of Egyptian Art & Archaeology partnered with members of the Italian Mission from December 2003 to January 2004 and again in 2004-05. Lead by Dr. Francesco Tiradritti, the Italian and University of Memphis teams are excavating and restoring the tomb of Harwa, governor of the Theban nome under the Nubian pharaohs of the 25th Dynasty (ca. 770 - 712 BCE).Read about the IEAA 2003-04 field season by clicking here. |
